Nanny – One Day a Week, Shenton Park

About the role

A young, working family in Shenton Park is looking for a kind, warm and experienced nanny to care for their nine-month-old daughter. The position is long term and ongoing, starting around 4 December (trials first, though a January start may be considered for the right person). The ideal schedule is Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, about 8.5 hours per week, though the family is flexible on the day of the week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive and nurturing care for the baby throughout the day
• Engage her in age-appropriate play, reading and activities that encourage development
• Take her for walks and visits to local parks, weather permitting; later, accompany her to nearby activities
• Support daily routines including meals, naps and playtime; all food is provided by the parents, though preparation may be needed
• Clean up after meals and help with laundry, including moving clothes between washer and dryer
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised environment
• Communicate with the parents about the day, routines and development

Required profile

• 3+ years of nanny or childcare experience caring for infants
• Previous experience caring for babies or young children
• Warm, nurturing, kind, patient, reliable and trustworthy
• Enjoys reading, playing and supporting early learning
• Proactive and able to plan a balanced day of play, rest and outdoor activity
• Childcare qualifications are not essential but highly regarded
• Strong references, valid WWCC, current First Aid and CPR, non-smoker
