Nanny for Newborn Baby - Prahran

About the role

A family in Prahran, Victoria is seeking an experienced, qualified nanny to care for their one-month-old baby girl. The position is long term, ideally for several years, with about 32 hours per week from Monday to Friday (10am-3pm Mon-Wed, 10am-10pm Fri). The mum is home most of the time but may occasionally leave for appointments. The role combines newborn care with cooking and household support, and the family guarantees agreed minimum hours when care is not needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive care for the baby and support feeding, sleeping and daily routines
• Create a safe, calm environment and support early development through interaction, talking, reading and age-appropriate activities
• Prepare meals and assist with cooking as required
• Complete general household duties and keep the home clean and tidy
• Communicate with the parents about the baby's routines, needs and progress

Required profile

• 3+ years of childcare or nannying experience with infants
• Childcare qualification preferred
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid and CPR
• Non-smoker with a full driver's licence
• Comfortable with two dachshunds and with the mum at home
• Interested in a long-term commitment
