Multiskilled Operator – Mining Equipment

About the role

Glencore is seeking an experienced Multiskilled Operator to join the Production team at Rolleston Open Cut, a large open‑cut thermal coal mine in Central Queensland. Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, you will operate heavy earth‑moving equipment safely and efficiently while contributing to mine production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate large mining and earth‑moving equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Collaborate with the Production team to meet daily production goals and organisational objectives.
• Accurately complete operational and maintenance records, maintaining data integrity.
• Identify, assess and control workplace hazards to ensure a safe environment.
• Share ideas with key personnel to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating large mining equipment in an open‑cut environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of risk management and safe work procedures.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Operation of heavy earth‑moving and mining equipment.
• Competence in maintaining accurate operational and maintenance records.
