Multiple Engineering Opportunities in Wintel & Infrastructure

About the role

Zilor Group is seeking experienced infrastructure engineering professionals to support Defence and National Intelligence agency clients. The roles involve designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Windows‑based and cloud environments for Australian Government enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support Windows Server infrastructure, applying security controls and remediation activities.
• Administer and troubleshoot virtualised and cloud platforms, ensuring reliable system operations and performance.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and implementation guidance.
• Lead senior‑level engineering activities, including technical design, infrastructure security, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, computer science, engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in Wintel engineering, systems administration or infrastructure engineering within enterprise environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the specific opportunity (NV2 or TSPV).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with a focus on security requirements for Australian Government systems.

Required skills

• Windows Server administration and configuration.
• Virtualisation technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Implementation of security controls, system hardening and remediation.
• Infrastructure monitoring, performance optimisation and incident resolution.
• Creation of standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
