Multi-Skilled Operator

About the role

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will support smooth day‑to‑day operations on a day‑shift roster (7:00 am‑3:30 pm) within a 9‑day fortnight, 35‑hour week. The role offers hands‑on experience across forming, inspecting and packaging departments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform tool and mould changes on forming equipment for bottle, jar and glass formats.
• Assist with job changes and associated set‑up tasks.
• Work across the Forming, Inspecting and Packaging departments as required.
• Carry out quality inspection checks on newly formed bottles and other procedural checks.
• Operate computer production systems and interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical maintenance.
• Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical aptitude; trade background or recent graduate in mechanical, engineering or related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with tools and machinery through work, study or projects.
• Previous manufacturing experience is valued but not essential – full training provided.
• Ability to work in a hot, dusty and loud environment.
• Good communication, ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
