MRP & BOM Administrator

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent automation and intralogistics solutions, is hiring an MRP & BOM Administrator for its Operations team in Belrose. The role maintains the accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs), Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data and production planning information within the ERP system, supporting Production, Purchasing, Planning and Engineering teams so that the right materials are available at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) from engineering drawings and approved design information
• Develop and maintain manufacturing routings, production steps, labour allocations and manufacturing times
• Maintain item master, planning and MRP data in the ERP system
• Review MRP requirements, material shortages and planning exceptions
• Manage purchased part information, including supplier details, sourcing data and pricing
• Update BOMs and routings to reflect approved engineering changes
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies affecting production, purchasing, inventory or costing
• Generate BOM and MRP reports and identify process improvements
• Support products such as racking, conveyor systems, AGVs and control panels

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years' experience in an MRP/ERP, manufacturing or production planning environment
• Understanding of BOMs, manufacturing routings, MRP and production planning
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Methodical, accurate and able to investigate root causes
• Qualifications in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related discipline are desirable

Required skills

• Strong Excel, data management and analytical skills
• Experience with Syteline or a similar ERP system is highly regarded
