Mining Automation Trainer

About the role

As a Mining Automation Trainer you will design and deliver engaging training sessions and assessments for both internal and external learners, ensuring they can effectively operate Komatsu’s advanced automation equipment. You will also maintain training systems and tools, providing a seamless learning experience and identifying productivity improvements using state‑of‑the‑art AHS systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver classroom and on‑site training programmes for mining automation equipment.
• Conduct assessments and evaluate learner performance.
• Maintain and update training materials, systems, and tools.
• Provide support to learners to ensure a smooth training journey.
• Identify opportunities for productivity gains through AHS system usage.

Required profile

• Passion for learning and helping others succeed.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and educational integrity.
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and work well in a team.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a bachelor’s degree in education; operational mining knowledge.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Excel.
