Mine Control Supervisor (Fly-in Fly-out)

About the role

Gold Fields – Gruyere is looking for a Supervisor: Mine Control to join its Mining department. Reporting to the Unit manager of Surfacer Mining, you supervise the mine controllers day to day so that they use the Fleet Management System (FMS) to deliver the mine plan effectively, and ensure the data integrity of all mining physicals and equipment states. The role is fly-in fly-out from Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Mine Control function, including the Fleet Management System.
• Manage changes, system configurations and give operational guidance to mine controllers and support teams.
• Help the mining operation meet targets safely, productively and efficiently, and coach the Mine Control team.
• Support daily database control and administration, and help supervisors and operators meet targets and comply with the plan.
• Liaise with stakeholders to improve processes and data integrity in line with the approved Time Usage Model (TUM).
• Run regular audits to make sure documented systems and processes are followed.
• Create standards for system configuration, support incident ownership and advanced troubleshooting, and manage incident resolution and system performance monitoring.
• Coordinate between operations, maintenance and vendor support teams, and act as the central communication point for mine production and safety, including emergencies.

Required profile

• Experience leading an integrated planning process with a Fleet Management System, preferably WENCO.
• Experience supporting Fleet Management Systems and related technologies.
• Experience working in a mine control room.
• Knowledge of OHS legislative requirements strengthens the application.
• Strong operational knowledge of mining cycles.
• Valid manual driver's licence.
