Mid-Level Commercial Litigation / Construction Lawyer

About the role

Rostron Carlyle Lawyers is looking for a mid-level commercial litigation and construction lawyer (3-5 years of post-qualification experience) to join its Brisbane firm. The role suits someone with 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation or construction law, strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume diary, files and matters
• Liaise with clients and coordinate meetings and conferences
• Prepare billing statements and end-of-month reports
• Assist a team of lawyers on legal matters
• Prepare legal documents such as correspondence, contracts, court documents, reports and presentations
• Prepare briefs

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in commercial litigation and/or construction
• Well-developed knowledge of security of payment legislation and Australian standard construction contracts
• Willingness to help senior lawyers with marketing and business campaigns
• Attention to detail, strong written and oral communication, and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of LexisNexis Affinity software (highly regarded)
