Mental Health Team Lead – Virtual Care Centre

About the role

Join Healthcare Australia as a Mental Health Team Leader for the Virtual Care Centre (VCC). This full‑time, hybrid role combines clinical leadership, mental health expertise and telehealth, with three days in the office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to the VCC Mental Health team.
• Oversee mental health intake, assessment, triage, risk assessment and referral processes.
• Offer clinical consultation for complex mental health presentations and risk escalation.
• Lead clinical reviews, case conferences, supervision and professional development activities.
• Build relationships with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to clinical governance, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Minimum 7 years relevant clinical experience with significant mental health exposure, or 5 years plus a postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing.
• Proven team‑leader experience, including supervising and mentoring clinical teams.
• Experience in mental health intake, triage, crisis intervention or care coordination.
• Experience in virtual care or telehealth is desirable.
