Mental Health Clinician - Acute Community Intervention Service

About the role

Albury Wodonga Health is recruiting a Mental Health Clinician for its Acute Community Intervention Service (ACIS) in Wangaratta and Albury. The role delivers timely, person-centred responses to people in acute mental health crisis, working closely with consumers, their families, carers and community partners to provide assessment, brief intervention, safety planning and coordinated care. It is a full-time position; positions are available in both Albury and Wangaratta.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Post-graduate qualifications in psychiatric/mental health, or completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric program.
• A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in mental health.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act.
• Knowledge of Recovery Principles and Trauma-Informed Care principles.
