Casual Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Inpatient Mental Health

About the role

Nolan House, part of Albury Wodonga Health, is looking for a casual Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join its inpatient mental health team. The role sits in the Nolan House Inpatient Unit at Albury Base Hospital and works alongside experienced professionals who deliver trauma-informed, person-centred care focused on recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive mental health and physical assessments
• Monitor responses to psychotropic medications and other therapeutic interventions
• Engage therapeutically with consumers and give psychoeducation to consumers and their families
• Help maintain a safe, least restrictive and trauma-informed environment
• Provide nursing care consistent with best practice and organisational policies
• Maintain accurate records and uphold clinical governance standards

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience in mental health nursing
• A Postgraduate Diploma or Master's in Mental Health Nursing is highly desirable but not essential
