MEL and Operations Manager

About the role

The Pacific Security College, funded by the Australian Government and part of the Crawford School of Public Policy within the ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy, is looking for a MEL and Operations Manager. Reporting to the Business Manager, the role leads the development, implementation and review of the College's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework and supports its operations. The position is full-time, fixed term until 31 December 2028, at ANU Officer Grade 8 level, with a salary package of $124,392 to $133,017 per year plus 17% superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate data collection, analysis and reporting to show the College's impact and inform continuous improvement
• Manage administrative processes, supplier contracts, the Operations Manual and the Risk Register
• Advise on University policies and procedures and support the planning and delivery of major events
• Travel to Pacific island countries is required

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning, including developing and implementing frameworks, managing data and turning findings into practical improvements and clear reporting
• Strong operational and administrative management skills, with experience coordinating projects, managing supplier contracts and improving processes
• Confident interpreting policies and procedures and giving practical advice to colleagues
• Collaborative, able to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders; experience in the Pacific Islands region or international development is highly regarded
• Initiative, good judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Rights to live and work in Australia
