Medication Safety Pharmacist

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is looking for a Medication Safety Pharmacist based in Sydney (North Ryde) to join its Medication Safety & Infusion Clinical Team. The role combines hospital pharmacy expertise with education, consulting, project management and innovation, working across BD's Medication Management Solutions portfolio including Pyxis and Alaris to help hospitals in Australia and New Zealand improve medication management.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver product training, clinical education and technical support to healthcare customers
• Support product evaluations, clinical simulations, implementations and post-implementation optimisation programs
• Design and deliver education programs tailored to individual customer needs
• Partner with hospitals to improve medication management processes and support medication safety initiatives
• Manage multiple projects across the customer lifecycle, from pre-sale support through to implementation and ongoing optimisation
• Conduct audits, assessments and continuous improvement activities
• Build relationships with pharmacy leaders, clinicians, decision-makers and Key Opinion Leaders
• Provide customer insights and feedback that contribute to future product development
• Work with BD's Sales, Marketing and Clinical teams and represent BD at conferences and trade shows

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy and current pharmacist registration
• Significant experience in a hospital pharmacy environment
• Strong understanding of medication safety, medication governance and best-practice medication management
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Planning, organisational and project management capabilities, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to engage and influence multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Experience with medication automation technologies, digital health initiatives or systems such as Pyxis is highly regarded but not essential
