Medical Waste Services Driver

About the role

A leading Australian waste management and resource recovery provider is seeking an experienced Medical Waste Driver based in Bibra Lake, servicing healthcare facilities and collection points across the Perth metropolitan area. The role is hands-on, involving loading and unloading medical waste bins, manual handling and heavy lifting, and professional interaction with customers. It is a Monday to Friday position with early morning starts, occasional Saturday morning work, and a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate the assigned vehicle to deliver and collect medical waste bins from healthcare facilities and collection points
• Load, unload and safely secure medical waste bins on the vehicle
• Undertake regular manual handling, including lifting and moving heavy waste bins
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely service
• Complete work in line with workplace health, safety and environmental procedures
• Maintain professionalism with healthcare facility staff and customers, and communicate with dispatch and supervisors about deliveries and delays
• Handle waste bins and equipment safely to minimise spills, damage or incidents
• Complete required documentation and report issues or hazards
• Keep the work environment clean and the vehicle operated responsibly

Required profile

• Current MR or HR driver's licence
• Ability to safely operate manual trucks
• Previous delivery driving, waste management or similar experience is highly regarded
• Physically capable of regular heavy lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and long periods standing
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, reliability and punctuality
• Comfortable working independently and in a physically demanding, hands-on role

What we offer

• $39.89 per hour plus penalties, overtime and allowances under the Waste Management Award
