Storeperson / Forklift Operator

About the role

A high-profile client is looking for experienced Storepersons / Forklift Operators for work based in Forrestfield and Bibra Lake, Perth. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with afternoon and night shift opportunities and day-shift training before moving to the allocated shift. Ongoing, long-term work is offered to the right candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse and storeperson duties.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks carrying structural steel products.
• Assist with securing and strapping loads for safe transportation.
• Perform TIG welding duties as required.
• Operate reinforcing bar machinery after appropriate training, and learn other specialised machinery as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment and follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Current LF forklift licence and demonstrated overhead crane operating experience.
• At least 3 years' experience in a warehouse or storeperson role.
• Experience handling and loading structural steel products and TIG welding experience.
• Willingness to learn and operate specialised machinery.
• Current driver's licence, reliable transport and full working rights in Australia with no restrictions.
• Two contactable professional references and ability to pass an instant drug and alcohol test.
• Availability to complete day-shift training before moving to afternoon or night shifts.
