Medical Science Liaison, Toxins

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Toxins advances science and standards of care for patients by engaging healthcare professionals and other stakeholders in a strictly scientific, non-promotional manner. The role works with the Associate Director, Medical Affairs, ANZ to set priorities and execute the Medical Affairs plan, and covers the Allergan Aesthetics portfolio. This is a 12-month Max Term Contract with up to 50% travel within ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians and other healthcare stakeholders across ANZ
• Plan territory and stakeholder engagement, identify priority stakeholders and unmet medical needs, and track scientific engagement activities
• Conduct high-quality scientific exchange and provide scientific education and training to healthcare professionals
• Support educational initiatives, speaker programs and scientific meetings in a compliant way
• Develop and execute KOL engagement plans and represent the company at customer meetings, congresses and professional forums
• Gather external insights, competitor intelligence and scientific observations, and contribute to the development of promotional and educational materials
• Report adverse events within 24 hours and comply with WHS and compliance policies

Required profile

• Science degree; B Pharm, Nursing, Pharm D, MSc or PhD preferred
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience; experience in pharmaceutical or medical device science, overseas education or work, or a customer-facing role desirable
• Minimum 2 years in a medical affairs team in the medical device or pharmaceutical science industry desirable
• Ability to travel about 50% of the time within ANZ
