Medical Receptionist

About the role

The X-Ray Group, part of the IDX group, is a well-established diagnostic imaging provider in the Albury/Wodonga region offering MRI, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, ultrasound and X-ray services. It is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to work across its Albury clinics, acting as the face of the organisation and delivering high standards of service to patients, referrers and the community. The role is Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls as the friendly, professional voice for patients and referrers.
• Schedule appointments using the RIS system Visage.
• Manage appointments to keep operations running smoothly.
• Action patient referrals from multi-disciplinary teams.
• Communicate clearly with patients about preparation, costing estimates and other requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
• Willingness to learn medical imaging terminology.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service with care, compassion and empathy.
• Problem-solving and time management skills, able to optimise appointment slots and meet team KPIs.
• A positive, can-do attitude that builds rapport with patients, staff and professionals.

Required skills

• Advanced computer and keyboard skills (a must).
• Familiarity with the Visage RIS scheduling system.
