Medical Receptionist

About the role

A small, supportive team at a fast-paced clinic in Vermont is looking for a full-time (Monday to Friday) Medical Receptionist. The role involves rotating between the Vermont Private Hospital site and other nearby clinics. It suits someone eager to learn, driven, resilient and empathetic, with a strong customer service background.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phone enquiries in a timely, professional and confidential manner
• Greet patients at the front of house upon arrival
• Schedule appointments for patients and referrers
• Issue patient invoices and receipts and process Medicare rebates as required
• Enter and update patient registration details
• Keep the reception and waiting area clean and presentable

Required profile

• Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus
• Willingness to learn medical imaging terminology
• Advanced computer and keyboard skills
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service, show care and compassion, solve problems and manage time to meet team KPIs
• Positive, can-do attitude
