Medical Officer – Radiology Services

About the role

Radiology SA is seeking a Medical Officer to work alongside radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, providing clinical supervision of contrast‑enhanced examinations and emergency medical support. This position offers flexible, casual or ongoing shifts across multiple sites, allowing you to balance work with study or training.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contrast injections and related radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and infection control standards.
• Perform intravenous cannulation and oversee cannulation practices performed by trained staff.
• Recognise, assess and manage contrast reactions and other adverse events, providing immediate treatment and stabilisation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide timely clinical input to support safe imaging workflows.

Required profile

• Junior Doctor with general registration on AHPRA, no conditions, holding a Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support certification including anaphylaxis management.
• Demonstrated competence in intravenous cannulation and emergency response.
• Valid Police Clearance, Working with Children Check and driver’s licence.
