Mathematics Teacher – Senior School

About the role

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an engaging and innovative Mathematics Teacher for its Senior School starting in 2027. This full‑time, ongoing position offers the chance to make mathematics meaningful for students across a range of abilities and senior pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver senior‑level Mathematics curriculum, including HSC, IB Diploma and Middle Years programmes where applicable.
• Provide pastoral care through the Student House system and contribute to co‑curricular activities.
• Assess student progress, give constructive feedback and use data to inform teaching.
• Participate in school events, enrichment programmes and occasional out‑of‑hours commitments.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary degree and recognised teaching qualification.
• Current ACT Teacher Quality Institute registration, valid WWVP and police check.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and spoken English.
• Commitment to inclusive excellence and high expectations for all learners.

Required skills

• Subject expertise sufficient to teach senior Mathematics.
• Ability to use technology to enhance learning.
