About the role

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join its collaborative learning community from 2027. The role involves delivering engaging economics instruction across the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the Individuals and Societies curriculum for Years 7‑10.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality economics lessons that align with the IB Diploma, Middle Years Programme, Australian Curriculum and, where relevant, the Higher School Certificate.
• Foster critical thinking and global awareness among students.
• Contribute to pastoral care, co‑curricular activities and the school’s Anglican ethos.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and professional learning.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and maintain a safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Passion for student learning and holistic development.
• Proven record of delivering inclusive, engaging economics instruction.
• Strong subject expertise in economics.
• Ability to teach across a broad age range (Years 7‑10).
