Mathematics and Science Teacher (2027)

About the role

Freshwater Christian College is seeking a qualified Mathematics and Science teacher to join its secondary team full-time, starting in January 2027. The college describes itself as a faith-filled community where academic rigour meets pastoral care, and relocation assistance may be available.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in Mathematics and Science across secondary year levels
• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the Australian Curriculum
• Integrate a Christian worldview and biblical values into curriculum planning and classroom culture
• Support students' pastoral care and wellbeing
• Contribute to co-curricular life through school events and activities
• Collaborate with a team of educators committed to whole-person education

Required profile

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching
• Queensland College of Teachers registration, or the ability to obtain it
• Alignment with the college's values, virtues and Christian beliefs, and ability to affirm its Statement of Faith
• Willingness to comply with college policies, codes of conduct and training requirements, including work health and safety, risk management, child protection and confidentiality
• Willingness to assist in extracurricular activities after normal working hours
• Legal permission to work in Australia
• Willingness to undergo a thorough screening process
