Marketing Manager - Events & Communities

About the role

This newly created Marketing Manager role focuses on events and community leadership, overseeing a busy national events calendar across multiple well‑known brands. You will be the single point of contact for turning brand concepts into live activations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end delivery of 30‑40 major events per year, managing logistics, budgets, suppliers and on‑the‑day execution.
• Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders as the primary contact for all event activities.
• Manage a portfolio of external agencies, including stand builders and a social‑first agency.
• Develop and own social media strategy, ensuring agencies and internal teams execute effectively.
• Build and grow community engagement through brand ambassadors, influencers and sponsorship partners.
• Represent the brand at industry events and conferences, bringing back market insights.
• Support the rollout of a new e‑commerce platform, integrating social media into the customer journey.

Required profile

• Dedicated background in events, activations and project management (specialist, not generalist marketing).
• Demonstrated strategic understanding of social media and ability to brief and hold agencies accountable.
• Exceptional organisational skills with proactive risk anticipation.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly and represent the brand.
• Willingness to travel interstate for face‑to‑face event engagement.
