Marketing and Communications Advisor

About the role

CEDA is seeking a Marketing and Communications Advisor to join its Brand, Marketing and Communications team in either Sydney or Melbourne. This permanent, hands‑on position will turn research, events and member engagement into clear, engaging content across owned channels, media and paid platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and publish timely, accurate content for the website, social media, email newsletters and other media.
• Support integrated campaigns that grow audiences and deepen member engagement.
• Create the annual impact report highlighting CEDA’s successes.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to the Director of Communications.
• Track and report content performance, offering recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain team calendars, approvals and delivery accountability.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in marketing, communications, content or public relations, preferably in an agency or fast‑paced environment.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills for digital audiences.
• Ability to translate complex research into accessible, accurate content.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Sound interpersonal skills and confidence working across disciplines and seniority levels.

Required skills

• Experience with CMS and CRM systems (e.g., Craft CMS, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud and basic short‑form video production.
• Familiarity with GA4, native social analytics, SEO principles and campaign tracking.
