Managing Principal – Risk Management

About the role

Marsh is seeking a Managing Principal for its Risk Management team in Sydney. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and involves leading a portfolio of major clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with major clients across a complex portfolio.
• Assess client businesses, risk exposures, insurance needs and loss histories to develop suitable solutions.
• Lead business development activities and support new business opportunities.
• Provide strategic risk advice to senior client stakeholders and collaborate with claims specialists on complex claims.
• Mentor, coach and support a team of risk professionals.

Required profile

• More than 10 years’ experience in commercial insurance or risk management.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of key insurance classes such as Industrial Special Risks and General Liability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of commercial insurance products.
• Ability to analyse risk exposures and develop insurance solutions.
• Strategic advisory skills for senior executives.
