Managing Principal – Corporate & Commercial

About the role

Marsh Risk is looking for a Managing Principal to lead its Corporate & Commercial team in Adelaide. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and offers the chance to shape client relationships and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of key accounts, delivering exceptional client service and fostering long‑term relationships.
• Lead, develop and manage a team of Senior Account Executives, Account Executives and support staff through effective communication, delegation and performance management.
• Drive achievement of team business plans, revenue targets and profit objectives while maintaining strict budget control.
• Oversee renewal and broking strategies, claims management and client retention initiatives to exceed performance targets.
• Collaborate with insurers and leverage Marsh’s national and global resources to maximise client value and business growth.

Required profile

• Professional accreditation such as Tier 1 FSRA Compliance, Associate membership of The Institute and admission as a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker (NIBA).
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, relevant legislation and industry best practices.
• Proven experience managing key accounts and leading high‑performing teams in insurance or financial services.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, problem‑solving and delegation skills.
