Manager - Strategy and Transaction Execution Deal Technology

About the role

EY Parthenon's Strategy and Transaction Execution - Deal Technology team supports clients in acquisitions and divestments across IT, cyber, software and data due diligence, separation or integration analysis, value creation and synergy assessments. This is a hybrid position based in Melbourne (Naarm), with some duties also listed for Sydney (Warringah).

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate key IT risks and considerations that affect deal value for buy-side clients.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on technical matters relating to separation or integration assessments.
• Develop and present key deliverables to clients and support business development activities.
• Identify client risks throughout the transaction lifecycle and mitigate them early.
• Analyse a company's IT financials and highlight transaction considerations.
• Manage engagement teams day to day in delivering Deal Technology services.
• Act as the main point of contact for the client on the Deal Technology scope of services.
• Collaborate with the wider EY Parthenon division and other EY teams to solve client challenges.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in two of three areas: mergers and acquisitions, technology, consulting/advisory services.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, advanced problem solving and creativity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience delivering high-quality reports and presentations.
• Able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients; driven with high EQ.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
