Manager, Medical Accreditation and Training

About the role

Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is recruiting a Manager, Medical Accreditation and Training (Health Manager Level 3, 38 hours per week) to lead the Medical Training and Accreditation Initiative. The role builds innovative and sustainable systems for medical accreditation and training across all medical specialty and prevocational programs, supported by clinician and executive engagement. It involves coordinating the initiative with stakeholders such as Specialist Medical Colleges, the Ministry of Health and regulatory authorities, and developing procedures, standards, tools and resources for senior clinicians.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the Medical Training and Accreditation Initiative across SLHD
• Ensure sustainable systems for medical accreditation and training across specialties and prevocational programs
• Coordinate with stakeholders on medical training and accreditation programs
• Develop procedures, standards, tools and resources for senior clinicians involved in training and accreditation
• Liaise and negotiate with external stakeholders, including Specialist Medical Colleges, the Ministry of Health and regulatory authorities

Required profile

• Experience managing services in complex healthcare environments
• Extensive knowledge of medical workforce governance and management, preferably in medical training and accreditation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to evaluate and prepare reports, papers and presentations for Boards and health policy environments
• Current NSW driver's licence (P1 and P2 acceptable)
