Manager - Business & Private Bank Compliance

About the role

ANZ is hiring two Managers for its Business & Private Banking Compliance function, based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. As Manager, B&PB Compliance - Products & Digital, you support compliance across a portfolio at the intersection of banking, technology and customer experience, partnering with product, digital and business teams. As Manager, B&PB Compliance - Private Banking, you advise and oversee compliance across ANZ's Private Banking business, working with business leaders and risk stakeholders. Both roles are full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Provide risk-based review and challenge of first-line activities
• Advise on the compliance implications of business initiatives
• Support regulatory change implementation and emerging risk assessments
• Prepare reports, presentations and briefing materials for governance forums
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders on compliance matters
• Conduct targeted reviews and risk assessments across key initiatives
• Act as a subject matter expert on compliance management frameworks and policies
• Influence business decisions through practical, commercially focused compliance advice and drive a strong compliance culture across Line 1 teams

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification
• 7+ years' experience in compliance, risk, audit or legal roles within financial services
• Knowledge of regulatory obligations affecting banking products and services
• Experience supporting business transformation or regulatory change
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
