Accounts Officer (AP & AR) - Not for Profit

About the role

A three-month temporary opportunity in Melbourne, Victoria, within a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation known for its community service. You will join a dedicated team and take ownership of both accounts payable and accounts receivable, reporting to a supportive Finance Manager. The position is hybrid, with two days of work from home, and offers continued employment over the holiday period with potential for extension.

Key responsibilities

• End to end accounts payable
• Approve payment of supplier invoices and reconcile supplier accounts
• Invoicing and billing, and processing customer payments
• Resolve customer queries and follow up on overdue amounts
• Maintain master data and produce month-end reports

Required profile

• Proven accounts payable and receivable experience in a busy, high-volume role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build internal and external relationships
• Previous experience in healthcare, aged-care or homecare is an advantage
• Ability to commit to work over the holiday period

Required skills

• Strong system skills, including OCR experience
• MS Dynamics is an advantage
