Management Accountant – 12‑month Fixed‑Term in Osborne Park

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports the Shared Services Finance team at a mining company headquarters in Osborne Park. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will provide management accounting, commercial analysis and business partnering across operational and corporate stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
• Coordinate month‑end close activities including journals, accruals, pre‑payments, fixed‑asset accounting and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles.
• Perform variance analysis and deliver commentary on financial performance.
• Support capital‑expenditure reporting and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Partner with operational and corporate teams to provide financial insights and commercial support.
• Assist with statutory reporting, audit requirements and financial compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements across finance systems and reporting.
• Prepare ad‑hoc financial analysis for business decision‑making.

Required profile

• Experience as a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or Commercial Accountant.
• Proven track record preparing management accounts and month‑end reporting.
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience.
• Strong variance analysis and management reporting capability.
• General‑ledger, journal, accrual, reconciliation and fixed‑asset accounting experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and business‑partnering skills.
• Experience within the mining industry.
• CA or CPA qualification, or currently studying towards completion.
• Available immediately or able to start within one week.

Required skills

• Large ERP experience – Pronto, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
