About the role
The Major Incident Manager leads and coordinates end‑to‑end resolution of high‑priority (P1/P2) incidents, ensuring rapid service restoration and minimal business impact. The role demands strong leadership during crisis situations, proactive communication, and collaboration across technical, business, and vendor teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead major incidents (P1/P2) from initiation through closure, ensuring rapid service restoration.
- Facilitate war‑room or bridge calls, coordinating multiple technical teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Perform impact analysis, accurate incident categorisation and prioritisation.
- Provide timely communication to stakeholders, deliver executive updates and produce post‑incident summaries.
- Ensure root‑cause analysis (RCA) is completed and documented.
Required profile
- Proven ability to lead under pressure during high‑severity incidents.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with technical, business and vendor teams.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail for impact analysis and incident documentation.
