Major Account Manager

About the role

Waste Services Group is seeking a relationship‑driven Major Account Manager to nurture and grow an existing portfolio of enterprise accounts. You will act as the trusted point of contact, ensuring smooth service delivery while identifying commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of enterprise accounts, meeting revenue targets and maintaining strong relationships.
• Serve as the primary contact, monitor service performance, resolve issues promptly, and coordinate with internal teams.
• Identify upselling, cross‑selling and renewal opportunities, and address commercial risks early.
• Conduct regular customer reviews and site visits to understand evolving needs.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, account plans and documentation.
• Own complaints and escalations through to resolution.

Required profile

• 2–4 years’ experience in Account Management or Customer Success, preferably in waste or a related service industry.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio independently, balancing day‑to‑day service with growth.
• Experience using a CRM to manage account and customer records accurately.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
• Collaborative, relationship‑first attitude with both customers and internal teams.
