Maintenance Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

About the role

A growing food manufacturing business in Young, NSW is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor to report to the Maintenance Manager. You will lead the day-to-day maintenance function, ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and mentor and develop your team. The role suits an experienced Maintenance Supervisor or a Senior Leading Hand looking for a leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of maintenance tradespeople
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, labour allocation and resources
• Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Support capital projects, plant upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build relationships with production and operational stakeholders
• Champion a positive safety culture across the site

Required profile

• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing, FMCG, food processing or industrial environment
• Trade qualifications (mechanical or electrical)
• Experience planning and coordinating maintenance activities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive leadership style and a continuous improvement mindset focused on reliability and performance
• Unrestricted Australian working rights; visa sponsorship is not available
