Maintenance Supervisor – Defence Fuel Infrastructure

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of five Fitters and two Electricians supporting Defence fuel infrastructure across Queensland, based at RAAF Amberley. This hands‑on leadership position balances day‑to‑day maintenance management, KPI tracking and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities for fuel infrastructure.
• Oversee subcontractors, track performance against KPIs and ensure timely completion of work.
• Coach, develop and support the maintenance team while maintaining strong relationships with Defence stakeholders.
• Plan and organise travel to Oakey and other Defence sites as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading operations teams in fuel, oil & gas, petrochemical, aviation fuel or similar industries.
• Strong focus on safety, operational compliance and stakeholder management.
• Current driver’s licence, Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Defence clearance.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a practical, results‑oriented approach.
