Maintenance Officer

About the role

This role is for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in fixing things properly and understands that great maintenance is often invisible when it is done well. You will help keep Crystalbrook Sam safe and beautifully maintained every day across guest rooms, public spaces, back‑of‑house areas and hotel equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational issues.
• Assist with basic plumbing, painting, patching, carpentry and general maintenance tasks.
• Support the upkeep of fixtures, fittings, equipment and hotel facilities.
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks and routine inspections.
• Identify issues early and escalate more complex repairs where required.
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage and other hotel teams.
• Support contractors and external service providers when needed.

Required profile

• Proactive mindset with strong technical confidence.
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities, building services or a similar hands‑on role.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative working style.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy hotel environment.
• Flexibility to work across a seven‑day operation, including weekends and public holidays.
