Duty Manager - Rydges Adelaide

About the role

Rydges Adelaide, part of EVT, is hiring a Duty Manager. You will lead daily hotel operations in the absence of senior management, keeping guests happy, the Front Office team strong and the hotel running profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee hotel operations during assigned shifts, coordinating smoothly across departments
• Lead and support the Front Office team, maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction
• Act as the main point of contact for guest issues, resolving complaints professionally and promptly
• Maximise room occupancy and revenue through effective rate and yield strategies
• Ensure compliance with WH&S, security protocols and crisis management procedures
• Support training, staff development and performance tracking

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel operations, particularly in Front Office
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage guest relations and resolve issues professionally
• Proactive, service-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement

Required skills

• Financial acumen and understanding of yield management strategies
• Familiarity with hotel systems, WH&S regulations and crisis protocols
