Maintenance Lead – Electrical

About the role

Metro Trains Sydney is seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead – Electrical to oversee preventative and corrective maintenance across its metro rail network. Reporting to the Maintenance Delivery Manager – Electrical, you will lead a team of technicians and manage external service providers to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Electrical Technicians.
• Manage delivery of maintenance works using internal and external resources.
• Monitor contractor performance against safety, quality and contractual requirements.
• Support work planning, project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with MTS standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Electrical or a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Minimum five years’ experience in rail or a related industry.
• Safety‑focused leader with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
