Maintenance Fitter – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Maintenance Fitter to join our night shift team, working Sunday night to Friday morning (10:00 pm – 6:30 am). This permanent position involves diagnosing equipment breakdowns, maintaining safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, planning and engineering teams to communicate equipment status, especially during shift changes.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis with the Maintenance Manager and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain registers, logs and systems to track repairs and work activities.

Required profile

• Minimum Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work and communicate well in a team environment.
• Full work rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Knowledge of high‑speed packaging equipment, bearings, seals and shaft repair.
• Experience with conveying systems and reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
