Maintenance Fitter – Immediate Start

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a busy maintenance team at an established manufacturing site in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The role involves keeping production plant and equipment running through planned servicing and breakdown repairs, with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose, fault‑find and repair mechanical issues.
• Service pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Follow the planned maintenance schedule and respond to reactive breakdowns.
• Read mechanical drawings and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Work safely in accordance with site WHS procedures.

Required profile

• Trade‑qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent).
• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding ability.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Reliable, safety‑focused and available to start immediately.
• Forklift licence.
