Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Pace Appointments has joined with an agri-business in Toowoomba and the Darling Downs area that is looking for a qualified Maintenance Electrician on a permanent day-shift roster. Reporting to the Maintenance Team, you will cover electrical maintenance across the whole site, from fault-finding and preventative maintenance on production equipment to general site electrical work. The role suits someone who wants to build skills in a supportive manufacturing environment with consistent weekday hours.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment across the facility
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out fault-finding
• Run preventative and scheduled maintenance programs
• Maintain and repair production equipment, conveyors, refrigeration and cooling systems
• Work with PLCs, control systems, instrumentation and electrical panels
• Test and tag electrical equipment
• Ensure all work meets electrical safety and WHS requirements
• Liaise with production teams to minimise downtime
• Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation

Required profile

• Electrical trade qualification and a current electrical licence
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, food production or processing, or similar environments
• Highly regarded food manufacturing or food processing experience
• Approximately 2+ years after completing an apprenticeship
• Forklift licence and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, independent and team-working ability, good communication and a strong focus on safety and quality

What we offer

• $55 - $58 per hour
• Permanent full-time day shift, 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Stable 38-hour week with overtime available during projects and shutdowns
