Maintenance Electrician – Afternoon Shift

About the role

A leading food manufacturer in Dandenong is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its established maintenance team. The position is a long-term full-time role on the afternoon shift (2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday) at $63.25 per hour plus super, with lots of overtime available weekdays and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Keep production equipment, machinery and electrical systems running reliably in a busy food manufacturing environment
• Electrical breakdown and fault finding, and troubleshooting electrical and control systems
• Preventative and reactive maintenance, including scheduled preventative maintenance
• Work across automated production and packaging equipment, including PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Work with motors, sensors, VSDs and control systems
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives, working closely with the mechanical maintenance team and production

Required profile

• Qualified A Grade Electrician with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ideally a Victorian Electrical Licence
• Ideally previous experience in FMCG, food or industrial manufacturing
• Proactive approach to breakdowns and reliability

Required skills

• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, sensors and automated machinery
• Preventative maintenance experience
