Machine Operator - Steel Processing (Multiple Vacancies)

About the role

BlueScope Distribution, a single-source provider of steel and aluminium product solutions, is hiring Machine Operators for its warehouse operations team in Eagle Farm, Queensland. The role involves operating processing machinery such as slitter or shear lines to process customer orders, while monitoring product quality and staying committed to safety. Ongoing training and support are provided, with multiple vacancies available.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machinery to process orders for customers
• Operate remote gantry cranes and forklifts
• Pick and pack orders accurately to prepare them for customer delivery
• Contribute to a safe working environment

Required profile

• Experience operating steel forming machinery in a processing environment
• Strong communication, problem-solving and self-management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• High commitment to safety

What we offer

• Full-time, permanent position with a competitive weekly rate starting from $1,310.24 pre-tax (not including loading or allowances), plus superannuation
• Overtime, public holiday pay and quarterly bonus eligibility
• Shifts 5 days a week, day (6:00 am - 2:00 pm) or afternoon (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm); afternoon shift includes a 20% shift loading allowance
