About the role
Aurizon is hiring qualified locomotive drivers for its Albany Rail Operations Team on a full‑time permanent basis. The role is residential, with relocation assistance for candidates willing to move to Albany, WA.
Key responsibilities
- Operate locomotives on mainline, shunting and marshalling duties.
- Examine and certify trains as ready for departure, ensuring on‑time running.
- Conduct brake testing and maintain safety standards in line with Aurizon’s procedures.
- Provide high‑quality customer service to support business objectives.
Required profile
- Strong commitment to safety and Aurizon’s Safety Strategy.
- Availability for a 24/7 shift roster.
- Extensive freight or heavy‑haul locomotive driving experience.
- Certificate IV in Rail Operations and an unrestricted Class C driver’s licence.
