Live-In Housekeeper – Coastal Far North Queensland

About the role

A busy hospitality venue in Coastal Far North Queensland is looking for an experienced housekeeper to join its team of live-in staff. The position is casual, HIGA Level 2, starting as soon as possible, in a tropical location with discounted staff accommodation and an evening meal provided.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms to a consistently high standard
• Make beds and replenish guest amenities
• Complete laundry duties
• Clean and maintain public and common areas
• Report maintenance issues promptly
• Liaise with reception on departures and room turnarounds
• Follow the General Manager's direction and help with other housekeeping duties as required

Required profile

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, reliable, team-focused attitude

What we offer

• Pay: $33.85 per hour Monday to Friday, $40.62 Saturday, $47.39 Sunday
• Private room and accommodation at $78 per week
• Daily evening meal and an onsite staff kitchen
• Qantas flights available daily from Cairns, with Telstra mobile and internet
• Split shifts may be required
