Light Vehicle Mechanics (4 positions)

About the role

A busy workshop in Queensland needs four full-time experienced light vehicle mechanics. The client, Automotive Solutions QLD (DMH Group), provides tyre and mechanical services in Brisbane, Ipswich and northern NSW. The work covers a range of vehicles in a team environment, with competitive pay, career progression and ongoing training.

Key responsibilities

• Work on a range of vehicles in a busy workshop with a team of mechanics
• Carry out preventative maintenance
• Perform infield diagnosis and servicing
• Troubleshoot problems effectively and decisively
• Work unsupervised and under pressure
• Keep the workspace and tools tidy and orderly

Required profile

• Current Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate or equivalent
• Mechanical servicing and repairing experience
• Ability to diagnose faults and problem solve using a multimeter
• Positive can-do attitude, teamwork and strong work ethic with attention to detail
• Customer service exposure
• Current driver's licence and permission to work permanently with no restriction on hours
• Logbook servicing, under-chassis work and basic diagnostics experience desired
