Life Sciences Lawyer

About the role

Axiom is seeking an experienced Life Sciences Lawyer to lead global clinical trial and R&D contracting for leading organisations across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and manage global clinical trial agreements with hospitals, academic centres, government agencies and large healthcare systems.
• Provide primary legal support for CRO arrangements, including master services agreements, work orders and change orders.
• Support R&D and pre‑clinical activities such as sponsored research agreements, material transfer agreements and non‑clinical study agreements.
• Advise clinical operations, R&D, medical, regulatory, data/biostats and procurement teams on legal risk in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or CRO settings, or in a law firm serving these clients.
• Proven track record leading multi‑country clinical contracting and CRO agreements.
• Hands‑on experience with sponsored research, material transfer and early‑stage R&D agreements.
• Strong knowledge of TGA regulations, data privacy and human subject protection requirements.
