Liaison Officer – Social Work

About the role

Join Acknowledge Education as a Field Education Liaison Officer and support Master of Social Work (Qualifying) students throughout their placement journey. You will act as the vital link between the institution, students, and field agencies to ensure meaningful learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for practice education placements, coordinating student support and evaluating activities.
• Conduct site visits and evaluations, regularly checking in with students and practice education supervisors.
• Manage placement records, assess student performance, and promptly address any placement issues.
• Ensure educational and ethical standards are met, integrating social work theory with practice and facilitating reflective learning through supervision, feedback, seminars and related teaching activities.

Required profile

• Hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s or higher qualification in Social Work (AQF 7 or above).
• Eligibility for enrolment with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• At least 5 years of post‑graduate experience in social work roles.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to agencies as required and obtain a Working With Children Check.
