Level 2 Traffic Controllers – Melbourne Metro & SE Suburbs

About the role

OnSite Recruitment is seeking experienced Level 2 Traffic Controllers for ongoing assignments across Melbourne’s CBD, northern and south‑eastern suburbs. The majority of shifts are daytime Monday‑to‑Friday, with occasional afternoon or night work available.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Stop/Slow Bat devices to manage traffic flow.
• Implement traffic management and control plans on roadworks, sporting events, festivals and infrastructure projects.
• Set up, maintain and pack down traffic signage according to Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
• Ensure a safe environment for workers, motorists and the public.

Required profile

• Current TC1 and TC2 Traffic Control tickets.
• Completion of a minimum 20‑hour practical placement.
• Valid White Card.
• Current driver’s licence with reliable transport.
• Full personal protective equipment, including a two‑way radio.
• Ability to accept short‑notice shifts and demonstrate reliable attendance.
